Similarly, CMT News is also available—with 70,000 pages saved dating back to 2002 (sample search for Dolly Parton). These archives are valuable as they serve as living records of entertainment history and highlight the importance of web archiving in maintaining our digital culture. The Story of Archiving "The Famous Computer Cafe" A previously lost collection of interviews and episodes from The Famous Computer Cafe, a 1980s radio show focused on home computers, was recovered, digitized and is now publicly available on the Internet Archive. The show, which aired from 1983 to 1986, featured computer industry news, product reviews, and interviews with prominent figures of the time, including Timothy Leary, Douglas Adams, Bill Gates, and others. The tapes were discovered by archivist Kay Savetz during a property sale and were digitized through a GoFundMe campaign. Although many more tapes remain lost, the recovery of these interviews offers hope that other historical treasures may still be found.
