Internet Archive lawsuit. This reaffirms the Archive's commitment to its mission of providing universal access to all knowledge despite legal challenges. The nearly four-year legal process reflects the struggle against publishers' license-only models, which perpetuate inequality in knowledge access. Our defense isn't just about its digital lending program but about safeguarding the digital rights of all libraries and ensuring equal access to knowledge for future generations. More on the matter on our blog:  LEARN MORE Archiving an Entire Caribbean Island Aruba, famous for its stunning beaches, is also taking steps to preserve its rich history through a digitization initiative known as Coleccion Aruba. This collection, which can be accessed globally via the Internet Archive, includes over 100,000 items and is the result of collaboration among the national library, archives, and various institutions. The collection features newspapers, images, and videos that document Aruba's past and is an invaluable resource for researchers. By embracing its digital heritage, the portal enriches academic pursuits, celebrates the island's diverse culture, and serves as a testament to the power of collaborative preservation efforts.
